Ranking Algorithm
Our default “Best Match” sort order is designed to help you find the most relevant and high-quality care. Several factors influence a provider’s position in search results:
Relevance
How well the provider’s specialty and location match your specific search terms.
Featured Providers
Featured providers receive an algorithmic boost and are labeled with a “Featured Provider” badge. This indicates an enhanced profile, not a clinical endorsement.
Profile Completeness
Providers with headshots, detailed biographies, and verified education history are ranked higher to ensure you have the information you need.
Sponsored Listings
Providers may pay a fee for a premium listing. These listings are clearly labeled as “Sponsored”. Payment influences the visibility and ranking of these providers, but does not affect the clinical data or reviews displayed.
Data Integrity
Our primary data comes from the federal National Plan and Provider Enumeration System (NPPES) NPI Registry. We enrich this with verified data from medical boards and direct contributions from providers.
