Dr. Lucianna Cordeiro, MD

Dr. Cordeiro grew up in Catalao, a small town in the Brazilian state of Goias, before her family moved to Atlanta when she was twelve. Navigating a new country and a new language at that age shaped something that still defines her practice today: an instinct for meeting patients where they are, no matter the barrier.

She studied biology at Kennesaw State University, then traded Georgia for the Caribbean, attending medical school at St. George's University in Grenada, where the island setting belied the rigor of the program. After earning her degree with high honors, Dr. Cordeiro returned stateside for residency at Staten Island University Hospital in New York, where she trained in robotic, laparoscopic, and vNOTES surgical techniques and conducted research on induction of labor outcomes.

Dr. Cordeiro is drawn to the full continuum of women's health, from contraception and fertility counseling to menopause management, and she brings particular skill in minimally invasive approaches to gynecologic surgery. She cares for patients in English, Portuguese, Spanish, and French, a reflection of the multicultural journey that brought her to medicine in the first place.
