Dr. Odinaka Mogor, MD

Dr. Mogor is an East Valley native who took a winding, research-driven road to the operating room. At Arizona State University he studied kinesiology and human physiology, and at the University of Arizona he earned a master's in cellular and molecular medicine, spending his thesis work investigating how hydroxyurea affects red blood cell behavior. That deep dive into bench science gave him something that still shows up in his clinical practice: an instinct for asking why, not just what.

Medical school at the University of Arizona reinforced his commitment to underserved communities, he graduated with distinctions in both community service and rural health. During residency in El Paso, Dr. Mogor served as chief resident and honed his skills in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, presenting his work at national conferences alongside the AAGL and the American College of Surgeons.

Today, Dr. Mogor's clinical interests span minimally invasive surgery, gynecologic oncology, and high-risk pregnancy. He is a published researcher with peer-reviewed work in both OB/GYN and surgical oncology, but what excites him most is translating that knowledge into better outcomes for his patients right here in the Valley where he grew up.
